a school boy

With school starting here locally this week i was inspired to scrap this little boy who started school 3rd term last year. The blackboard - is black co-ordinations run thru the cuttlebug and rubbed back. And i am loving these new marquise thickers, sooooo yummy!!

Hope all the kiddies have a good first day back today....and thankfully it is a bit cooler than the 40°C that we had the past couple days!!

Thanks for popping by,

Streaky Bay

A couple weekends ago Rob and I went up to Streaky Bay with my sister & hubby. Even though it isn't that far from us, it has been years since we have been up that way, and i just forgot how beautiful the coastline and beaches are up that way!!

We had a couple beautiful meals at the local pub....which just oozed with character and charm! Loved this pub!
And we called into the Sheringa Roadhouse/ come General store for an icecream on the way home.....what a great little spot that is!! Not much there, but a jammed packed little place....once again, oozing with west coast charm and character!

Anyone for surf wax?? Sheringa is a great spot for the surfers, and this packaging caught my eye, LOL!!

We had a great weekend visiting our local sights!!

Echo Park layouts

Recently i got some yummy Echo Park 'Little boy' papers, and this week i have had some precious free time to scrap some photos of our eldest grandson. And this first layout i have also used for the monthly sketch challenge over at escape2create.

They are such yummy bright papers and so easy to work with....i just love them!!

Hope you having a great time over the summer holidays!!

Mr Wool Classer

The last of the shearing photos - this one, our eldest grandson Ethan, meticulously helping Poppa picking the wool fleeces. I found amongst my stash some 'Elders' stencils which i used on the yellow paper - just like we use on the actual wool bales. Otherwise, i have used old papers from my stash.
In the scrapping mood......
Have a good day,
Sue xx

new bike

I just had to scrap these cute pictures of Eli sharing his new bike (well, not totally happy to), and Mace thought he was such a 'big' boy on his cousins new bike. Mace now has his own bike, plus Granny has 3 at the farm now....so there's no lack of bikes here!! It is great to see the kids getting outdoors and riding.
I tried mounting my alpha title like a friend does...find her here , it was pleased with my result on this page and will definately be using this technique again!! And i have used the paint splats yet again...the old paints are getting a work out lately!!
Well, hope you all having a nice day and enjoying the summer holidays,
Leave a comment if you pop on by - i love to see who's been here,

First scrap for 2011

OMG- it took hours to put this together!! It was like having my first born - took days and days, and still nothing happened....i was exhausted when it was finished - the page that is!!! How can it get to be this difficult? Just no mojo!
It is time to get those creative neurones bumping around again....and there is so much inspiring scrapping happening out there on the blogland, that it is so hard to move away from the computer!! But i am glad i have finally moved away(off my computer chair) and completed a page, a old photo but i love those canola shots from September 2010!
Well, here's to more luck scrapping....and hope your having a great day!

2010 done & dusted

Well, what a whirlwind of a couple weeks it was!! ....and another year done and dusted.

With all the preparations of Christmas, getting together with both family groups to celebrate Christmas - and Parsons day was here at the farm, Mum & Dad arriving & staying here with us over the Xmas time and leaving just before New Year. We celebrated Mum & Dad's 50th wedding anniversary on 29th Dec, harvest was still in progress, and amongst all that i did my back in and had to spend a few days flat out on the floor and then there was New Year.....phew....i feel all partied out, and ready for some quiet time!!

Here's a photo of us - almost the entire Parsons' clan....only 2 were missing on this day.....and i was determined to squeeze everyone in my little kitchen for that family 'Christmas photo'. I realized recently how important these photos are to take and keep. What a great day we had!!

2010 was a great year!! Amongst everything the highlight was our 5 weeks overseas, a dream come true. Time to start on another DREAM.

What will 2011 bring? I don't know.....no big plans at this stage.

But i do hope to ENJOY time at the beach, SPEND time home - with family, ENJOY time with friends at the Day on the Green. SPEND more time in the garden, BE more creative- i hope to make a quilt this year..... and LIVE, LOVE, and LAUGH each day of 2011!

Hopefully there will be some scrapping coming along soon,

Hope you are having a Great day.
