new teeth..

This little boy hasn't been showing us his cute smile lately, because he is missing his front teeth. Whenever we go to take some pictures he gives a goofy 'no teeth' smile. But this day i snapped him mucking around and giggling....oh, i do love to see that cheeky smile even with no teeth!

Here i used October Afternoon papers, Studio Calico fabric rip, AC thickers alphas, stickers from Sassafras, Jenni Bowlin, Crate Paper and stamps from Studio Calico. Plus some Mister Hueys for the paint splats.

Thanks for popping on by and do say hello,

Hook in2 Hockey..

The title was decided for this page when Evan told me " Granny it is Hook 'into' with a number 2 Hockey"....oh ok Evan, so then that was it!(i hate deciding on titles...one of my pet hates!!) I just had to use brights and bolds for this layout, with those colours in his photos and the Echo Park papers and embellishments from 'A Boy's Life' suited just perfect.

Thanks for popping on by,

Hospital visit

I have finally been in the scrap room, making a mess and getting in amongst some new papers....and some old!! With it so cold outside, it has been a nice place to be!!
This is one i have completed:

This dear little boy ended up in the Children's hospital when we went to Adelaide back in Feb...he was very brave even though he really didn't like everyone poking and prodding him. So we spent nearly all day for 3 days at the hospital with Rach, helping with the other 2 boys - Ash was out fishing this trip! The play nurses do such a good job at entertaining the kids and Mace was very excited to win some new lego and a teddy bear!!

This page i used some new Studio Calico 'Heyday' papers along with that delicious cloud vellum from American Crafts. Wood veneer arrows - Studio Calico, Stamp - Technique Tuesday, Alphas - AC thickers & Jillibean Soup.

What have you got planned for the weekend?? Have a good one!!

beach combing...

I was inspired by Meredith's trends challenge to use hexagons on this page. I have been loving the hexagons on pages recently and decided to have a go myself.
I used a WOW chipboard as a mask, and sprayed  Mister Huey's white over the grey cardstock. Then cut some hexagons using the MFT hexagon die, which fitted perfectly over top.

Hope you are having finding some time to use some new trends on some scrap-booking lately!
