There's a rabbit in my CAKE!!

Last year this little fella was so fixated on Rabbits, he so wanted a pet rabbit for his birthday. He even thought Uncle Daniel would get him one for sure...but his parents were trying ever so hard to down play it!! Right up to the eve of his birthday he was so convinced that he was gonna get a rabbit!! He had it all worked out.... it was going to live in his room, play with Ollie the dog, sleep with him n all.

So a birthday cake around the theme of rabbit was a must for Mr Finn's 4th birthday. And such a good job Rachel did of it too!! Her cakes are always a surprise to the kids, until the actual moment of 'cake' time....so little Finn's squeal of "there's a rabbit in my cake" was sooooo funny and cute!!

Guess who is pinching the cotton-tail??

And I just had to use Finn's quote as my title for this page!!

Hope you are having a fun Saturday, enjoying a bit of sunshine like we are here.

Love you....

Saw this photo amongst my photo stash and it bought back happy memories to me from Mother's Day 2015, when this little fella walked into my kitchen with this bunch of flowers and the biggest smile on his face "these are for you Granny" ....awww it did melt my heart!!

I used some papers from the AC Finders Keepers paper pad, black word sticker from Tim Holtz small talk & AC celebrate chipboard words....to go with my flowery pretty page.

I just had to use the LOVE and a few other bits from the Maggie Holmes "Shine" ephemera pack. All sitting lovely on top of some water coloured stripes.

This is my LOVE you page. You are so special to me...as they all are.

Hope you all had a Happy Mother's Day yesterday, spending it with those you love and getting spoilt.

Thanks for popping in,

Celebrate Eight....

Back in September we celebrated another birthday....this time it was Mr E who turned eight, and this time it was my turn to make a cake....and I prefer to make cakes that are quick n easy!! A construction cake for a boy who loves everything about machinery was perfect! It didn't last long with all those maltesers on top!! Mr E was chuffed, and that's the main thing!!

I used up some left over scrap pieces from a kit from last years Escape2create retreat class....the colours suited just right, just added a couple chipboard embellishments, enamel stars and a flair....
