new toys....and retro ones!

I had to scrap this - boys discovering new toys at Christmas - nerf guns, scooters and mini quad bike!! I instantly went to my Basic Grey "Hey Boy" paper & embellishment stash. They have a vintage/ retro style to them which i thought suited the colours of these photos. Added some mist & water to create the background and it was all but complete!
and speaking of retro.....look at this cute little baby i purchased last week!!

My very own Remington typewriter....i just had to have her!!
and i noticed there is a change to modern day key-board, the symbols are different....and there is no number ONE!!! She works a treat, and i am sure i will have a many a fun time with her!!lol!!
Hope you are having a treat yourselves this week,

Thanks for popping on by....and please do pop a hello on the comment board!!

Have a nice day,

another Kindy Boy...

Mace is a Kindy boy:
This little fella started kindy this year, and he totally loves it....and he is growing in all aspects - getting more confident, not so shy ANYMORE, isn't it wonderful to see them grow?!!

I grabbed the 24/seven range by Simple Stories for this one..... i just love all the embellishments in this range, everything worked together nicely! I added some mist splats, some stitching, and some random stamped arrows- and some not so random (the stamp fell out of my hand at one stage, i squealled out loud, then i was relieved it didn't land on my photos, so then more stamped arrows was born!!lol)- now can you spot the not so random arrow?? I love this range.....and i love these photos.....they are so Mace, the little character that he is!!

Have a great weekend, and hope you can get some crafty moments!

May - Project Life..

I just realized that i hadn't posted up my May Project Life pages.... and here i was thinking i hadn't scrapped for ages!! LOL...yes, i have been quietly working away and still loveing the easy concept of Project Life!

I had a scrap day with Amanda H at the weekend, (well, after we strolled around the garden, had lunch, a chat and a wine, we eventually got around to scrapping for a bit!).. and i completed week 3 of Mays PL... It was a lovely relaxing day!!
May week 1
yet another birthday, and another splendid birthday cake by Rachel!! She comes up with some beaut ideas and the kids just love them!! She is so clever!!
May week 2
a quieter week with just the normal day to day things happening....work, farm jobs- feeding sheep and footy at the weekends!
May week 3
this was a week with family and lots of boys!! so lots of bikes, ute rides and all things noisy!! But there was also moments to capture a beautiful autumn sunset, coffee with the girls and a Scrap Day with friends!!

May week 4
finally it rained and finally the men were able to get the seeding started. Along with the fire burning in the evenings and some yummy soup, i think it was beginning to feel like winter- even though the days were still nice and sunny!!
So there it is, all of May! Project Life!!

Hope you are finding some time to scrap a little!!

The Cool Rider

This page was very much inspired by a Deb Duty from Studio Calico page, using some Studio Calico papers and products as well. I added watered down mist splats....actually more than i initially thought. I love the colours of the 'Here & There' range and all their embellishments!

I Love this photo of Mace about to go for a ride with his Dad on the 4wheeler. As you can tell from his beaming smile he is quite excited!

Hope you are having a great week and Thanks for popping on by.

Scrap Day in May

On friday afternoon/ night i got together with some local girls for the monthly Scrap n Chat session.....and it was soooo good to do some scrapping again!! I made up some kits, so i was ultra organised and not leaving anything home and for chance to just sit and be not productive.....as i can be often.....and i was very pleased to complete 3 pages, and have lots of laughs an plenty of chatting too!!

Ethan's Race
I did the background of this one before i got to the scrap day. Playing with mists and scrunched glad-wrap. And i typed my journalling before cutting n sticking it all in place. I used a older 'crate paper' range and embellishments. I seem to be finding all these older bits n pieces in my stash now i am doing my Project Life, so it is nice to find some use for them on my 12x12 pages.
Turning Five
Here on this one i have used Crate Paper 'Party Day' papers and stickers, and found these wooden Prima buttons amongst my stash- which seemed to work in with it all.
Family
This one is inspired and a lift from Ebony van der Starre. I love the bright colours she uses along with adding some random stamping. So i tried out adding colour by spraying my mist onto some plastic packaging, adding a tad of water and just adding to the page....there is no guarantee how it'c gonna come out...but i was happy with  my first attempt!! Then adding some misty lines using an old credit card! Once again i have used older Echo Park paper ranges & cute alpha stickers here....and some new stamps.

So now i am keen to get amongst all my stash again....but first i better get out and take some photos of the boys on the tractors (finally) for my PL album.

Thanks for popping on by,

Have a nice day,

April PL- weeks 3 & 4

Finally i have got back to post these last 2 pages of April. What a busy time it is/ was.....with school holidays & sleep-overs with the grandies, plenty of fun times- board games and times with cousins, cutting some more wood ready for the fires, first rain and puddles - yet to be seen again(wishing for more soon),  first pots of yummy soup and first games of footy. I feel winter is on it's way!!
 Week 3
I got to play with a cameo portrait recently with a dear friend, and she showed me how it worked, convinced me that it is quite a handy 'must have' machine!! ( fingers crossed i might get one for mother's day!!)  I used a little cutting from our day of play here on this page.

Week 4
And now it is May, wow, this year seems to be flying by. And we have more birthdays in this coming month, more cakes n candles!! More fun times.

Hope you are clicking & collectig the memories....have fun!

April Project Life- week 1 & 2

I feel like i am running late....but i'm not really- it just seems like that with my late postings. Today is the 1st of May....and i am just getting around to posting my April pages.....so here i go,

The first of April this year was also Easter Monday, it was beautiful weather for a drive down into the Lincoln National Park with Rach, Ash and the boys. We took a picnic and climbed up to the monument which was an amazing spot to take a family pic. After Easter was all over....it was time to crutch the sheep and start some wood collecting.
So here is the first week:
Then the first weekend of April is always busy with boys birthdays. This year was a special year for friend Tony, who celebrated his 50th with a surprise tea down at Thuruna Church camp site. The the following day we celebrated both Daniel's birthday and little Mace's 4th birthday with a BBQ lunch at the farm, both had great cakes!! and a great day it was!

I have opened and used some new stamp sets on these pages!! A set from Studio Calico's Project Life last month, alo a circle set that a friend gave me from Cocoa Daisy....they are so cute!! and i have picked up a Daily Detail stamp set from Elle's Studio - all which are very handy for my Project Life scrapping!!

Happy First of May day!! Hope the sun is shining on you! (even though we are wanting the rain!!)

Thanks for popping by,

Project Life- March week 3 & 4

End of week 2 and week 3 of March was busy celebrating my own birthday, and my nephew's 21st. That  was a fun night!!  Then onto the 4th weekend, which was the Escape2create retreat, which as always is heaps of fun, getting together with all our scrappy friends and making a mess with all things papery!! Lots of laughs (see a previous post about this weekend).

The last weekend of March saw Good Friday and Easter upon us....meaning family times together and lots of chocolate!

Now onto April....i am still loving the whole Project Life thing, and getting in amongst my stash- using some old and some new, getting out some stamps and inks....just having trouble finding some white graph paper to make up some journalling cards??!!

Hope you are going to have a good week...

Scrap some memories!!

Project Life- March

The first week of March was a busy one, with work, a quick look at Sports day and then off to Mildura via Adelaide for a long weekend. As we were driving along i was snapping away at all the things we always see on our trip to Adelaide....those milestones in trip....the tin man, the signs, the drive,  then the view as we drive over the hill on the Golden Way.....

And then the fun night with our friends in Mildura at the engagement party!

That was week 1 an 2 of March....wow, this year is ticking past quick!!

Thanks for popping on by,

Have a nice day!!

Birthdays and busy days...

We've had a busy month with Easter and birthdays!!

During the Easter weekend we went for a drive down thru the Port Lincoln National Park, had a picnic with these guys, walked up to the monument....all of us and got some lovely pics of them together. It was beautiful weather to be out n about with the family for a picnic!!

a cheeky little rabbit!!
This little fella told me he was going to be "this many without the thumb".....and i had to capture that! all whilst eating chocolate cake, as you do on a picnic!!

This little fella learnt that he can ride his bike without the trainer wheels, plus lost his first tooth!!
Then the week following Easter it was Mace's 4th birthday as well as Daniel's. So we got together at the farm for a family BBQ and cakes!! Rachel did exceptionally well with her Batman cake for Mace, and he totally loved it....blue faces everywhere afterwards!!

and of course the customary re-lighting of the candle so everyone gets a turn at blowing out the candles!! Daniel had a cake loaded with MM's and kitkats!!....a week after Easter....who needed extra chocolate!! but it was delish!!
So a busy time with the family over the past few weeks, plenty of pictures taken, lots of fun times!!

Hope you are having some great family moments!!

Thanks for popping by,
