October PL all wrapped up...

I have spent the last couple days working on my October PL pages....and just scraped it in before the end of the next month.....which is my sub-conscious plan usually...lol!! Ocotber....wow, the months are flying past....another busy month with the kids visits to the farm, the crops colouring off, windrowing happening and hay making season....not to mention our mini retreat scrap weekend!!

Digging out the big pine tree behind the house, and some new chicks hatched out!!

School holiday sleep-overs at Granny's house was on the agenda, along with a quick pick of a 2nd prize winner @ the Cummins Show.
Oh, and cuddles with little Jensen, who is getting chubby little cheeks! Couldn't resist keeping these pics of Finn eating a chocolate donut....of course- the hole in the middle is to look thru!!!  And that wonderful sunrise photo of the hospital roses at 6am in the morning....to see the sun at that hour = nearly bedtime for a night nurse!!
Well, that was my wonderful October... now quickly get those November photos sorted, so i don't miss December!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend- and thanks for popping on by,

Happy days...

It has been weeks since i have actually found a spare moment to sit and scrap a page, and these photos were just sitting on my desk...i love these little happy faces, they have so much fun when they get together!!

This background i was experimenting with inks n salt(not that you can actually see the salt effects) before the last mini retreat, i decided to use it with this page, added some new Glitz papers which have yummy bright colours & lovely sticker sets. I finally finished the page late saturday night in between organising men and children!! aaahhh....such a busy time of the year!

Here's Happy Days with you..

Hope you are finding some spare time to do some crafting...

pages 3 & 4 from scrap weekend..

I can't beleive that it's 2 weeks since the scrap weekend @ Trinity!! and i have yet to post my last couple of pages that i completed over that weekend. Time is going so fast, all so busy life is at the moment!!

Firstly READ : this little man loves to read anything & everything!! and good at it he is, reading big thick novels in 2 days, he takes it all in like a sponge!! I used some new SC Thataway papers with this one, and some Kelly PUrkey stickers.

This one Turning SIX :  features the same little man who turned 6 during the year. I used my 'spray ink onto hard plastic, squirt with water and then turn plastic over and add to paper' technique.... you are never quite sure how the end result will look, but with some added contrasting splats, i was happy with this one. And this chevron punch was sitting at my table....so i just had to use that, love love love it!!...

Well, that is all from my scrap table for the past couple weeks....hopefully i will get to editing my October photos tommorrow and maybe begin PL October this week. :)

Hope you are having a nice Saturday!

E2C-Camp Trinity- PL

Last weekend was the Escape 2 Create mini retreat @ Camp Trinity Haven, south of Tumby Bay. Another full weekend of good times with scrap friends, good food, wine and a little bit of scrapping too!! A fabulous weekend!!

I managed to get my September Project Life completed plus 4 layouts - which is quite an acheivement for me! It was fabulous to walk around the hall and see all the talented scrappers working away on their pages, i always love to stop and admire each and every-ones....very inspiring!!

Here is my first 2 pages of PL - blogger is giving me a hard time.... so this may be all i get to post tonight!! I particually like the photos of my first page....lots of yellow, with the danelions and canola out in flower and shearing - favourite times of the year around here for me.

And page too stars our little Eli turning 4....a big fan of One Direction!!

No, it seems i can't upload any more for the moment.....

Thanks for popping in, and hopefully i can post some more shares tommorrow.....

August Project Life completed...

August was a busy month, so that meant many pages to do for my Project Life. With our trip to Sydney, a little boy turned 2, footy finals, canola out in flower and wheat coming out in head....so i ended up with 3 double pages. Here the rest of August:

More of our ventures around Sydney...meeting the sunrise crew, popping into Luna Park, visiting Manly and an afternoon with the stars at Madame Tussaud's....fun fun fun....

I did some stitching this month around the verse on one of the cards to highlight the verse and for added dimension.
Lots of fun on this page with a little boy who turned two...it always means a gathering in our family, lots of kids and lots of noise.

And then the end of footy seasons minor round, a visit from my parents, and the crops are growing and the view across the country side was a wall of yellow!
I had trouble photographing the last couple of pages yesterday....my usual position was extra bright which gave me troubles with reflections....hmmm...may need to find another spot in my house to do my photos.

So that is August....a big busy fun month. Now to see what i have snapped over September....another birthday, more footy - this time finals time, and the next phase with the crops.

Thanks for popping on by and do leave a hello if you do pop in.

Project Life- August 1 & 2

Here are my beginnings of Project Life for the month of August. My days sitting and scrapping have been far n few between since getting home from our holiday in Sydney....but i am half way thru documenting August.

On this one i made my own sunburst mask and splattered it with sequins and ink splats. I used my airline booking tickets as embellishments, as well as adding in some stamping, and plenty of washi tape!!

More washi tape, some wooden veneer embellishments, some little puffy stickers from skipping5, little word stickers and alphas, and also some delish enamel dots!! (what did we use before all these little sticky embellishments??)
Once i get to my desk....i am still finding PL quick and easy way to document the day to day moments, and i am still really loving it!

Hope you are finding some time to hide away and scrap your hearts out!!

Thanks for popping on by,

July- Project Life

Finally i have gotten back to my desk and my July Project Life. Everything has been sitting here waiting for this spare moment!! July is the middle of winter month, cold wet & not very interesting to take photos of day to day living. So i have captured it with photos of looking out the window, wet roads, washing trying to dry on the clothes-line, and some of our many visits from the kids & playing games!
Here is our July-

my photographing of this lot was causing me trouble this morning with the reflections on the PL protector pages.....and  the bit of sunshine shining thru my window!!!

Now to get amongst all my August photos and begin the next month!!

Hope you have had a great month.

Sydney trip- Aug 2013

It has been a month since i have posted here on my blog.....reason - we had a little holiday to Sydney early this month for a week. And a fantastic time we had!! There is soooo much to see and do in Sydney, and we had perfect weather every day....which was a nice break from the cold days we were  having back home.

We stayed very close to Darling Harbour - so we dined along Cockle Bay at various yummy resturants there. We visited The Bridge, The Opera House, Circluar Quay, The Rocks, Bondi Beach, Manly, Kirribilli, A day trip to the Blue Mountains, Madame Tussaudes, The Australian Maritime musuem, The Chinese Gardens, The Sydney Eye/ Tower.....and so much more!! All in a week!!

It's hard to pick my favourite pictures.....but here is just a few from my 300!! I took sooo many of the The Bridge and Opera house - i think i over did it!! lol!! We saw it by day, we saw it by night, we walked over it and sailed under it, we saw it from the east and from the west.....it sure is one great Aussie icon!!

Same with the Opera house....this is one of my favourite shots when the sun was going down and with the bridge in the background.
And of the the many selfies that i managed to get while we were away... Rob even played the game for me!!- even though he doesn't look that impressed in this one!!
Oh, the Blue Mountains was delish....i have always wanted to see the Three Sisters, and this day was a beautiful clear sunny day!! we walked down to the bridge that goes from the mountains to the first sister, the wind was icy cold, but worth the view!!
Our Day at Manly was another clear warmish day - warm enough for many swimmers, sunbakers and many surfers to be out!

Oh, and our walk to Martin Place to meet the Sunrise team too....the day after Port won the showdown! and we had a little chat with Kochie and Mel. I think i must have been standing in a hollow that morning or do the boys have their heels on??!! (am i really that short???)

So that was just a quick snapshot of our week in Sydney....we walked for miles, we had a great time- a full week!

Extra-ordinary moments...

I love this photo taken over the past summer...to me it captured what was a wonderful day at Farm
Beach with family, a beautiful day and lovely sunset!!

The colours and papers of the Atlantic range by Studio Calico worked perfectly for me here. Along with some misting and faint stamping, wood veneers and some tags n ribbon. I love the cork stars/asterixs that came with my SC PL kit....they have grid pattern on one side and cork on the other, and those very cute little dark grey alpha stickers also in the PL kit last month....just happened to work with this page too!
Now to tidy my desk, ready for a few days away....

Hope you have a good week,

Catchya soon,

turning Four today....

It's time to document another birthday - and this time it was Mace's 4th birthday. Rach very cleverly made a 'Batman' cake this time....which, of course was yet another winner!! I love her cakes!! And more importantly Mace loved it!!

I have had some fun with  Basic Grey's  papers and embellishments, the "Hey Boy" and "Hipster" ranges. I love the colours and patterns of the papers...funky and groovy and a little yesteryear-ish. Added some washi tape and a couple little transparency die-cuts, and a banner also from Basic Grey.

Hope you are having a good week and thanks for popping on by,

Dream....everyday....

I set a challenge over at E2C a couple weeks ago....because i thought it was a cute collection of goodies, not thinking of the colours - which are so not me and all my tribe of boys. But i worked on it over the weekend and this is what i have come up with :

I started with my chalk pastels making the varigated background behind the photo, then i used some mists on the  white cardstock, added some stamping, random papers, butterflies and it grew and grew. All was good!

Hope you are having a lovely week and Thanks for popping on by,

Sue xx

slip 'n slide....

I have been having some more fun with the Pier collection by Crate Paper, this time with Eli having fun on the slip n slide at our house this past summer!

And with the very cold wintery days we've just been having i have enjoyed the warmth from these pages!! And look forward to some sunshiney days!!

Hope you have found a warm spot these last few days and had a chance to scrap a little!!

Thanks for poppin' on by,

Have a good weekend!

Project Life - June

With the month of June comes yet another birthday in our family. And this time we celebrated young Jacob's 8th birthday with a get together with the cousins. These get togethers are always lots of fun!!

My Project Life page 2 & 3 of June:

Documenting my rekindled ability to crochet, school pick-ups of the Grandies, the Supermoon event and time with more grandies and their love of books!!
I have bought some Becky Higgins Project Life cards.....oh, they are delish!! My big inital worry about them was they are round cornered and i have done half the year with square cut inserts....but really, once i pop them in amongst my photos......i don't even notice.....so i am going to mix it up.

a beautiful day with you...

I have had more fun with my mists n water to give the water-coloured effect for my background. I added some texture paste, some old rubons - you know when old rubons sometimes don't go on properly?- well, these went on perfectly - and to get the old half off look, i had to rub like crazy!! typical ey?!!

Did a little stamping and page was done!!

It was a beautiful day!! Sun, Sand, Sea and kids what else would one want?? Love it!!

Hope you are having a lovely day, maybe remembering some nice warmer days of our summer just gone.

Thanks for popping by,

Sue xx

Summer Fun...

I have been having some fun with Crate Papers 'Pier' collection, and also with some mists and water for the water-colour effect along the edges. The summery feel to this range reminded me of fun times over the summer with the grandies!!

Hope you have been having some fun with some new papers!
