new teeth..

This little boy hasn't been showing us his cute smile lately, because he is missing his front teeth. Whenever we go to take some pictures he gives a goofy 'no teeth' smile. But this day i snapped him mucking around and giggling....oh, i do love to see that cheeky smile even with no teeth!

Here i used October Afternoon papers, Studio Calico fabric rip, AC thickers alphas, stickers from Sassafras, Jenni Bowlin, Crate Paper and stamps from Studio Calico. Plus some Mister Hueys for the paint splats.

Thanks for popping on by and do say hello,

Hook in2 Hockey..

The title was decided for this page when Evan told me " Granny it is Hook 'into' with a number 2 Hockey"....oh ok Evan, so then that was it!(i hate deciding on titles...one of my pet hates!!) I just had to use brights and bolds for this layout, with those colours in his photos and the Echo Park papers and embellishments from 'A Boy's Life' suited just perfect.

Thanks for popping on by,

Hospital visit

I have finally been in the scrap room, making a mess and getting in amongst some new papers....and some old!! With it so cold outside, it has been a nice place to be!!
This is one i have completed:

This dear little boy ended up in the Children's hospital when we went to Adelaide back in Feb...he was very brave even though he really didn't like everyone poking and prodding him. So we spent nearly all day for 3 days at the hospital with Rach, helping with the other 2 boys - Ash was out fishing this trip! The play nurses do such a good job at entertaining the kids and Mace was very excited to win some new lego and a teddy bear!!

This page i used some new Studio Calico 'Heyday' papers along with that delicious cloud vellum from American Crafts. Wood veneer arrows - Studio Calico, Stamp - Technique Tuesday, Alphas - AC thickers & Jillibean Soup.

What have you got planned for the weekend?? Have a good one!!

beach combing...

I was inspired by Meredith's trends challenge to use hexagons on this page. I have been loving the hexagons on pages recently and decided to have a go myself.
I used a WOW chipboard as a mask, and sprayed  Mister Huey's white over the grey cardstock. Then cut some hexagons using the MFT hexagon die, which fitted perfectly over top.

Hope you are having finding some time to use some new trends on some scrap-booking lately!

Autumn sun

This paper from Studio Calico -'Take Note' range inspired me to scrap this photo of the sun setting in March. I decided to do layers upon layers as a bottom border using old papers from Studio calico, a bit of stitching, add some paper lace, punch out a few butterflies, and stick a few SC clouds..... i do love a sunset!!

Hope you are finding a nice warm place today??

scrap n chat...

This week i got together with the scrap n chat girls at Cummins, i mainly chatted...while there was alot of that (and some good laughs), there was also some scrapping creativity happening too.... I began this one but once i got home got right in the mood and completed a couple more!!

These new papers from Simple Stories -'Summer fresh' range have been sitting on my desk for a couple weeks, and  i felt they went delishiously with these photos from our escape2create retreat that was in April. And as i am sooo into banners and flags, they also were added... I have also seen various shapes been used on pages lately ....triangles, hexagons, diamonds ....so i thought i make my own apple and use that as a cut out and a embellishment....it went with out home-grown/ apple theme at the retreat!

Hope you have found some inspirtation for your scrapping lately!

Pops' little mate...

I had some scrapping fun with some MME papers yesterday, and some triangles!! I have been spying triangles about lately....over at Allison Waken's blog and various others....so i thought i would give them a try too!
I have used here MME papers from lime twist, follow your heart and Miss Caroline ranges. Amy Tangerine & Lilly Bee alphas. Smash tape & Crate paper brad. Word Pops cut using MFT die-namics alphas....and very excited with the result.

Hope you having a nice day,

Sue xx

a special Family moment..

As a family we all gather for special moments, ordinary moments or moments just like this....to celebrate a birthday. We all bring along food to share - Mum is so good at pulling together a basket full at very little notice ( i wonder if i will ever have that organisation & talent??!!).

This day we were celebrating Rachel's birthday, and we were all here (little Finn was asleep in the pusher)and what an opportunity to capture this photo of children, grand-children, grandparents- great grandparents together. We are so lucky to have them all around us and loving each others company! It is truelly a special family moment.

I had some fun pulling this one together with some October Afternoon's 9 to 5 range, with a little bit of misting, a Studio calico badge, OA buttons, Lily Bee alpha stickers and AC thicker alphas.

Hope you have had some special family moments of late to remember.

Have a nice day,

Suexx

an afternoon by the sea...

I've had fun with some MME 'follow your heart & lime twist' papers and Crate Paper 'story teller', a few splashes of OA sprinklers, alphas by Jillibean soup and Studio Calico....and a very cute badge  by studio 5.

Hope to see you here again soon,

UFO- 2009 Journal

I started this 2009 Journal at the 3rd Escape2Create retreat, but life got hectic, crazy, stressy and i didn't get around to completing it.....and it has been sitting in my pile of "stuff" on my scrap desk ever since. Thankfully i had popped hand-written notes in each month as a reminder to what happened each month...

This week after my nights i got tidying up my desk and decided to get to this un -finished- object!!! And here is a few pages of it to share:

After much mucking around with this blogger, hopefully when i press publish....all will come out well!! It gives me total brain stress sometimes!!! gggrrrr!!!

But there it is, and UFO complete!! Do you have any scrap UFO's sitting on your desk??

Hope you are having a nice week, finding a nice warm place to be, maybe indoors by a fire??!!
