comings & goings....

It has been rather busy around here of late...with finishing off the main parts of the building...completing the pergola, paving, as well as bits n pieces in the kitchen...still waiting for the tiling to be done, but at least i have decided on what i want and have them in my possession.

Then with Daniel having incurred a nasty burn to his hands last week, required a trip to RAH burns unit for a week, my first and hopefully last ride in the Air Ambulance....which was - from a nurses point of view - interesting! ..And the Burns Unit is just amazing!! But all is well, we are all home again and going good.....and thankfully no skin grafts required.

I have downloaded some pictures of the pergola to show:

Now to decide on some walls for the sides for protection from the weather....semi enclose it as a indoor/ outdoor room, and with what??? colourbond, cladding like the house, wooden slats ....decisions decisions..... suggestions anyone???

And to begin my backyard makeover as well!...hopefully the suggestion of gardening will bring on the winter rains and keep me indoors!! LOL!!

So it has been a tad busy here with lots going on...

Thanks for popping by..

Friends get together

Here i have used some of the yummy Echo Park 'For the Record' papers- i love those papers, plus i cut up some old rub-ons for the spotty bits on the yellow...looks a bit paint dabbed don't you think? Also used some Lilly Bee mini alpha stickers (they are delish also) and Dear Lizzy foam glitter Thickers and another rubon for the title.

We always have so many great times when we all get together with the Lee family from Mildura...we have remained good friends since they have left here and it is always great to see them....so i decided that we needed to document our times with a photo session and then came a LO !!

Thanks for popping on by,

Suexx

are you serious?!

Just love this serious face....it seriously cracks me up because he can do the serious face so well!
What started out a mission to use some new green Studio Calico alphas just didn't turn out that way, these Jillibean red ones took front place in the title, along with all the other bits n bobs. Funny how scrapping a page begins and ends up (sometimes) totally different. Do you have scrapping times like that too??

Have a great day,
Suex

a couple to share

A couple pages to share here with you done for the challenges over at escape2create.

Come fly a kite with me....is for Meredith's colour challenge.

From on the Lake..is for Amanda's tucked elements challenge.

A beautiful sunny autumn day....off out to shoo the chooks out from the garden, they look like they are having sooo much fun scratching around in the damp pea straw!!

Hope you enjoying some sunshine too...

BiG Fish

Love this picture of Daniel with his tuna fish....he loves to go out deep with a mate and catch the big ones!

Have used some Studio calico papers and embellishments here, as well as using my Heidi Swapp die-cut alphas for the first time....thanks to a 'web savvy friend' who found them for a good price!! i Love 'em!! I had to scrunch my black tape up as not to see the Eiffel towers printed on them ....LOL....but i just desperately needed black tape...you know how it is, when you need something like yesterday desperately!! ...worked out perfect though!

Hope you all having a good Thursday!!

kitchen makeover

Well i have been rather quiet here on blogland of late....no scrapping to share, but i have been busy re-organising my kitchen make-over......

I went from this beautiful 30year old green and woodgrain laminex:

To this very yummy cream and wooden kitchen, my dream for soooo many years:

There is still some electrical work to be done, painting, tiling and new floor covering to happen yet, but i am in and it is workable!! Daniel built my kitchen at Shannon Miller's Kitchens, Port Lincoln. The cupboards are antique white, benchtop is American Oak, and handles & knobs from Marina Isles.....which i am very pleased with.

So now to finish the outdoor pergola area as well....all keeping me busy!

Hope you all having a great week,

xxSue

u love watermelon

Dear Macie moo is getting real attitude @ only two. I love these cute photos of him munching into a piece of watermelon....something about little ones and a slice of watermelon, juice running all over the place....oh,so cute.
Here i have used new Echo Park Playground paper and some of the Pink Paislee Hometown Summer range as well- (the border banner, cloud and journalling spot), plus a strip of Sassfrass the lined piece.

Hope you all having a nice week,

xxSue

Monday Monday..

I love to have a traditional monday at home....you know, do all those homely chores!! But for me at last it is a day at home.....and so blissful it is! I even managed a huge walk out to the farm boundary, got some fresh air into those lungs....and motivated to finish off a couple layouts from the retreat.....feeling like i have had a great accomplishing day! here's those layouts: Family Portrait

I have used Echo park 'For the Record" papers, thickers and Bella Belvd alphas, Hambly lacey rubon, a couple paint rings and a few splats to finish off.

So Special

This one is using Studio Calico 'State Fair'papers, plus a Basic Grey-yellow, WeR -green spot, MS butterfly punch, Jillibean Soup butterfly. I scrap-lifted this sketch and design from Kandis Smith's page in Scrapbook Trends magazine "Quick and Easy". It was the perfect inspiration i needed on the last day of the retreat!

So good to have a lovely Monday....Hope you are too,

Inspiring weekend- e2c retreat

After many months of planning our escape2create retreat it was finally here, and what a huge, successful, inspiring weekend it was!! So many talented scrappers in one shed, all scrapping away madly with each of their own creativity....i love to see all the different styles and am inspired by all. I wasn't overly creative this weekend, but i did manage to complete a couple layouts of my own, half finish a couple plus do the classes of the very talented scrappers....Fran Tynan, Tatum Woodroofe, and Lou Nelson, plus sit in on the stamping workshop of Michelle Dyson. Here are my pages: Do what you LOVE what you do I just love this photo of Ethan, taken on Christmas day enjoying the sunshine and a new toy.... a simple styled page, and i used my new Kikki K stamps.....but i need to practise, to stamp in a straight line!! Mr Muscle These are the pages i completed during Fran's class:

The Reichstag
Canola Love x3

I loved using the transparency in Fran's class, painting and stamping onto it, as well as stamping onto masking tape....Great pages Fran, loved doing them both!!

Then Tatum's class:

Christmas Morning

This was a fun layout to do also....lots of bits n bobs happening here...painting, stitching, making and adding pinwheels, doileys...cutting a scalloped circle freehand.... and i wasn't too sure about the glittery alphas at first, but with christmas photos as the theme...it suited just perfectly. A beautiful bright layout, i just love it!!

A full fun weekend spent with friends, meeting new people and having many a laugh.......thanks to you all!!

Thanks for popping by,

Brandenburg gate

I started this page when i went to Lock (a few weeks back now)....so finally it is complete. I was just waiting for the 'right' alphas....LOL!! i have used Sassfrass papers, Bella Blvd alphas (red), and Thickers -sunrise chip alphas (black) and a Basic Grey felt flower to finish this page.
Everything looks on the lean on this page, i will have to check....hopefully it is just the angle of the photo!!!
Now to tackle some packing for our Escape2Create scrapping retreat!!
Hope you all having a good weekend,
xxSue
