February social times

February has been a social month for us. Firstly we went to the Day on the Green at Annies Lane with a group of friends. It was a totally great weekend...even though it rained all day friday, Saturday we were lucky at the concert with only small scuds of rain. Train and INXS were fantastic!!

Then last weekend was Rob's 50th birthday, which we had a small gathering in the shearing shed with family and friends. It was a good night..... Here's some pics from over this month to share.

Birthday picture with the 5 grandsons....and soon to ? be 6 grandsons???

The great venue of Day on the Green, just beautiful!!

I was very impressed with my camera capturing the effect of the stage lights here,

And of course a few bottles of these were consumed as well!!
A busy month, great times with good friends!!

Hope you have had a good month too,

time

I took some imperfect photos, a few bits of paper and scattered some stamps here and there to document my thoughts of time going by so quickly!! Why are the kids growing so fast, is it because our lives are soooo busy these days, don't i spend enough time stopping to take in all the moments?? Someone said the other day "it will be Christmas before we know it"....boy, i hope this year doesn't go that quick! hhmmmm....this is how life is perhaps. Does anyone else feel like time is ticking away too fast??

Thanks to you girls for popping in and leaving a comment....you all made my day!!

Hope you having a great day!!

Last friday night i caught a ride with Tiff to Lock for the Shabby Chic scrap night and to have a looksie at their new shop and see all the yummy new products. This was the only page i got done....as i was tooo busy shopping and laughing all the other time! It was a fun night and great to catch up with Tiff again....it has been awhile!! (ps Tiff: i am still getting over the late night, haha!!) and those girls are so much fun!

It was great to scrap again that is for sure! All i had to do to finish the page once i got home was to add the journalling and a few bits n bobs!!

Thanks for popping by, and do leave me a comment....i love to see who's popped by,

I found these photos of this little man amongst my stash and thought i better scrap them before another year of birthdays begin. I have used the yummy Echo Park 'Little Boy' range papers again and some Studio Calico wooden veneer alphas and stars....which are also very yummo!!
Hope you all enjoying the bit cooler weather,

a school boy

With school starting here locally this week i was inspired to scrap this little boy who started school 3rd term last year. The blackboard - is black co-ordinations run thru the cuttlebug and rubbed back. And i am loving these new marquise thickers, sooooo yummy!!

Hope all the kiddies have a good first day back today....and thankfully it is a bit cooler than the 40°C that we had the past couple days!!

Thanks for popping by,

Streaky Bay

A couple weekends ago Rob and I went up to Streaky Bay with my sister & hubby. Even though it isn't that far from us, it has been years since we have been up that way, and i just forgot how beautiful the coastline and beaches are up that way!!

We had a couple beautiful meals at the local pub....which just oozed with character and charm! Loved this pub!
And we called into the Sheringa Roadhouse/ come General store for an icecream on the way home.....what a great little spot that is!! Not much there, but a jammed packed little place....once again, oozing with west coast charm and character!

Anyone for surf wax?? Sheringa is a great spot for the surfers, and this packaging caught my eye, LOL!!

We had a great weekend visiting our local sights!!

Thanks for popping by,

Echo Park layouts

Recently i got some yummy Echo Park 'Little boy' papers, and this week i have had some precious free time to scrap some photos of our eldest grandson. And this first layout i have also used for the monthly sketch challenge over at escape2create.

They are such yummy bright papers and so easy to work with....i just love them!!

Hope you having a great time over the summer holidays!!

Mr Wool Classer

The last of the shearing photos - this one, our eldest grandson Ethan, meticulously helping Poppa picking the wool fleeces. I found amongst my stash some 'Elders' stencils which i used on the yellow paper - just like we use on the actual wool bales. Otherwise, i have used old papers from my stash.
In the scrapping mood......
Have a good day,
Sue xx

new bike

I just had to scrap these cute pictures of Eli sharing his new bike (well, not totally happy to), and Mace thought he was such a 'big' boy on his cousins new bike. Mace now has his own bike, plus Granny has 3 at the farm now....so there's no lack of bikes here!! It is great to see the kids getting outdoors and riding.
I tried mounting my alpha title like a friend does...find her here , it was pleased with my result on this page and will definately be using this technique again!! And i have used the paint splats yet again...the old paints are getting a work out lately!!
Well, hope you all having a nice day and enjoying the summer holidays,
Leave a comment if you pop on by - i love to see who's been here,
Sue xx

First scrap for 2011

OMG- it took hours to put this together!! It was like having my first born - took days and days, and still nothing happened....i was exhausted when it was finished - the page that is!!! How can it get to be this difficult? Just no mojo!
It is time to get those creative neurones bumping around again....and there is so much inspiring scrapping happening out there on the blogland, that it is so hard to move away from the computer!! But i am glad i have finally moved away(off my computer chair) and completed a page, a old photo but i love those canola shots from September 2010!
Well, here's to more luck scrapping....and hope your having a great day!
