Swim

Here is another page using Studio Calico's Hey Day range. I love the colours in it and work well with summery photos.... I have also used a Elle's Studio jounalling card, AC vellum & thickers and Lily Bee alphas and a little piece of washi again!

Yesterday there was a touch of sun teasing us, letting us know that it's not far away now!!

Hope you had a chance to get out to feel the sun,

Sue xx

here he comes...

We all love it when our babies start crawling, but then quickly remember how much easier it is when you know they are in one spot!! This little fella took off once he got the idea of crawling on all fours, and don't you just love that very excited expression of "yippee, here i go". I love it!

With this page i found myself grabbing for the Basic Grey 'Clippings' papers again, along with some Lily Bee for the background, some plain green card and some printed tissue paper that i found in my new work boots box!! Alpha stickers are Simple Stories and AC thickers. And this background paper went thru my typewriter just perfect!! Loving it! One sheet of the BG - handmade quilt was just all triangles....perfect for cutting & stitching in a row.

Hope you are having a great weekend,

Sue xx

cast a line out..

It's not the best picture to scrap but it was about the day and  the moment- watching these two lads having fun with their fishing rods, seeing who could cast out the furtherest, and talking the talk like little old fishermen!!!

Here i have used Crate Paper as the background, some Basic Grey 'Clippings' papers, Elle's studio journalling card, AC pleated flowers, washi tape and buttons....oh plus a Studio Calico wood veneer boat too!!

Oh, just waiting for the sun to shine again for some fishing days!!

Hope you're having a good week,

Sue xx

my new typewriter

I have been on the hunt for an old portable typewriter - we had one years ago as kids, it was a cool retro yellow one ( how cool to have it now, i dream on!). Anyway, my Dad loves to hunt for items in Adelaide and he found this one at Cash Converters.....not quite what i had in mind, as it is electric (and with no instructions) and quite large, but it would do for the moment....... and  now i have realised that it will fit a 12 x12 piece of paper into it.....perfect for my scrapbooking. At only $10 i thought what a bargain, and i sure will have some fun on it!!! .....plus re-fresh my typing skills.......no back spacing or spell check to correct your spelling with this machine!!

Can you imagine my grandsons ??......"Granny what is this machine" and when i said it was a sort of old fashioned computer for writing letters, they were gobsmacked!! They are having fun with it too! LOL!

Hope you are having a fun week,

Sue xx

a double header

Jacob had a big day out fishing with Pops and his Dad back in march, especially when he pulled in these two beauties at once on his little rod!! He was very chuffed about his big haul!!

This page i have used the yummy products from the Studio Calico 'Hey Day' range, and those wood-grain thickers (at last i use them!!), other alpha stickers from Echo Park, and a few paint splats using Mister Huey's paints.

Hope you are having a good week,,

the birthday cake

Rach did very well with her cake decorating expertise again, this time a space ship cake for Evan's 5th birthday. Oh the look on his face when she bought it out to show him and to do the candles was priceless, and then to top it off with cousin Jacob saying "wow, that's a wicked cake!" along with Evan saying "it's so good Mum i almost don't want to eat it" was even more priceless!! It sure was a wicked cake!!

This page has been sitting waiting to be completed for a couple weeks now, and yesterday i finally decided just to cut n stick it down!! Using the lovely MME 'Miss Caroline' 'Follow your Heart' and 'on the Bright Side' papers again....they all co-ordinate together well, added some Sass & Studio Calico alphas and some wood veneers from Studio Calico....and page complete!

Thanks for popping on by,

Sue xx
